The Relentless Inning

Last night the Texas Rangers and Colby Lewis faced the Torronto Blue Jays. Colby Lewis pitched a stellar game until the fifth inning. with no outs and two runners on base, Colby pitched a rising fastball to Corey Patterson, and Corey crushed the ball out of the park. This three run homer was followed by one solo shot homerun and one, two run homerun. The score was 6 to 0 at the bottom of the fifth inning when Rangers catcher,Yorvit Torrealba cranked a solo shot over the walls making it 6 to 1. The Rangers would keep the Blue Jays scoreless for the rest of the game and try to chip away at this defficite. Ian Kinsler and Michael Young brought in two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning making the score 6 to 3. In the bottom of the ninth inning Blue Jays pitcher, Jon Rauch was releived by Jason Frasor. Nelson Cruz, big clutch hitter, hits a homerun off of Frasor making the score 6 to 4. Frasor escaped the inning with only one run and brought home the victory to Torronto. The Texas Rangers play tonight at 8:05 so be sure to stay tuned in to the game tonight. Look back on last season...

Fans will always remember the 2010 season of the Texas Rangers. Our closing pitcher, Neftali Feliz pitched a nasty curve ball that sent Alex Rodriguez back to the Yankees dugout and sent the Rangers on to the World Series.
The road of the 2010 season was unforgettable. The seasons in the past that I have watched with my dad have been slow, boring and extremely depressing. This will never be forgotten across Texas because the Rangers have never really had an incredible team. They have had some amazing hitters but NEVER any pitchers. Ranger fans will never forget the dog pile that happened in front of the pitching mound, and the red crowd chanting WORLD SERIES!! Cliff Lee gave the fans in Arlington something to cheer for. He gave us the best pitching season that we have ever seen.We can only hope that this year will end with this same experience.

The Defensive Mastermind

After losing Left handed pitcher Cliff Lee, The Rangers signed a incredible defensive slugger named Adrian Beltre.

Adrian Beltre is a great third baseman, and provides numerous runs for the Rangers. He is currently batting .239 and leads the team with 16 RBI's and 5 homeruns. He has provided exactly what the Rangers infield has needed for the past few seasons. His defense has saved the team in the bottom of innings. When Beltre has the knife to his neck, he comes out with clutch plays to end the inning. He makes incredible defensive plays and Ranger fans must be pleased with what he has done this season already.

Heart Breaker!

Our team's season began with 10 wins and 1 loss. The Rangers would pack up their things and head to Detroit for a 3 game series. Looking to extend their record to 13 and 1, the Rangers began the series with one win. The following day Josh Hamilton hit a triple to bring in two runs. The score was 1 to 0 in the bottom of the first inning and left fielder, Nelson Cruz, hit a foul pop fly around third base. The catcher and third baseman sprinted towards the ball leaving home plate with no one in sight. A split second after the ball had been caught, Josh tagged up and headed for home. The catcher bolted back to Home plate with the ball in hand and dove for Josh and landed on Josh's arm. Josh missed the rest of the ball game and the Rangers ended up losing the game by 5 to 4.

Josh Hamilton broke his arm while sliding into home plate. This injury will sideline Josh for 2 months, around 50 games, and will have an immediate effect on the Rangers overall season. This injury has created an awkward batting line up, and a winning stunt as of the last few games.

This is an obvious heart-breaker and is sad to see, but the Rangers have been through this before. Will they complete the race to October?

The Red Rangers

Buckle Up!!!

Coming off of a great year, the Rangers will look to finish the season with the race to October. Despite the loss of a left handed pitcher named Cliff Lee and cannon-armed Jeff Francoer from right field, the Rangers have added a defensive power-hitting slugger named Adrian Beltre. The Ranger's are looking to appear in the world series once again and avenge their loss to the San Fransisco Giants.
